Turkey Turquoise Coast Gulet Guide: Cabins, Routes and Costs

By Elena PapadakiOctober 3, 20264 min read

A gulet week mixes sailing, swim stops and harbor dinners without daily packing. We book cabin shares and private charters between Fethiye, Gocek and Kekova. You pick based on privacy, budget and how much sailing you want.

Should you book a cabin or a private gulet?

Book a cabin for lower cost and easy social pace and book a private gulet for control over route and meals. Group size decides the value.

Cabin shares place you with 8 to 14 guests on a crewed boat with set departure days. In 2026 cabin prices run 700 to 1200 EUR per person per week in standard boats, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Dinners ashore stay at your own cost.

Private charters give you the full boat for 6 to 12 guests, with weekly rates of 8000 to 20000 EUR in 2026 depending on size and season. Menus, swim stops and harbor nights follow your plan within weather limits. We confirm crew number, AC hours and paddle gear in writing.

Which route fits a first gulet week?

Fethiye to Kekova to Fethiye fits first-timers with sheltered bays and short passages. Gocek bays suit quieter starts.

The classic loop runs Fethiye, Gemiler, Kas, Kekova and back, with daily sails of 2 to 4 hours. Kekova sunken city passes run slow for viewing and swim stops anchor in clear coves. You spend nights in bays or small harbors with dinner ashore options.

Gocek departures focus on island bays with short hops of 1 to 2 hours, which suits travelers sensitive to motion. Routes include Yassica islands and sheltered lunch coves. We avoid open-water legs on windy afternoons and keep one layover day.

What do gulet weeks cost in 2026?

Cabin weeks cost 700 to 1200 EUR per person and private boats cost 8000 to 20000 EUR per week. Season, boat age and meals set the range.

Standard cabin boats include port fees, water sports from the boat and most lunches. Drinks, harbor dinners and archaeological entry fees add 200 to 350 EUR per person per week. May and October run 15 to 25 percent below August.

Private boats add harbor fees, fuel for long legs and crew tips of 5 to 8 percent. Air conditioning often runs limited hours on generator, typically evenings plus midday rest. We list what is included line by line before deposit.

Format2026 weekly rangeMeals included
Standard cabin700 to 1200 EUR ppBreakfast plus lunch
Deluxe cabin1100 to 1800 EUR ppBreakfast plus lunch, some dinners
Private charter8000 to 20000 EUR boatPer contract

What should you check before you pay a deposit?

Check boat year, cabin size, bathroom type and itinerary control. Photos and contracts prevent mismatch.

We request dated deck and cabin photos, plus length, beam and guest capacity in writing. Cabins under 8 square meters feel tight for a week, and en suite heads vary in shower space. You confirm whether cabins share AC hours or run cabin units.

Contracts should list embarkation time, disembarkation time, fuel limits and harbor fee handling. Boarding usually starts at 3 pm and ends with checkout at 10 am. You keep a weather clause that permits route changes for safety.

What do you pack for a gulet week?

Pack a soft bag, non-marking shoes and sun layers. Cabins store less than hotel rooms.

Soft duffels fit under bunks while hard cases block cabin doors. We bring reef shoes for rocky entries, a light wind layer and a headlamp for night decks. Towels for swimming are often provided, but we confirm counts.

Motion bands, broad hats and refill bottles cover most days. Cash in lira covers harbor stalls and small entry fees. You keep passports in the wheelhouse safe and carry copies ashore.
